Background: Dumb cane, or Dieffenbachia, is a tropical decorative house plant belonging to the Araceae family and Arum class, its colored leaves are appealing children.

 Case Report: A 14-month-old girl presented emergency department complaining history cough, difficult breathing, excessive crying, lip swelling, drooling saliva after ingestion Dieffenbachia. Upon arrival, she had mild respiratory distress associated with stridor. Her examination showed tongue sore, redness scattered blisters. These symptoms resolved few hours receiving support oxygen therapy, intravenous fluids, Dexamethasone, racemic epinephrine, oral antihistamines, normal saline rinses.
 Conclusion: lacks home poisoning. significance reporting cases highlights need for parents prevent toxicity more people, especially youngsters.
